This quick bit of career advice definitely comes from experience… and if you’re just starting out, it’s one that you should listen to.

Be willing to work your rear off, whether to find facts, to come up with extra ideas, or to think things through. It’s the basis for any really good advertising. I see an awful lot of stuff lately that makes me think, “They were too lazy to check things out…” or “These guys valued coffee breaks more than working…”

It means you’re setting yourself up for some damn hard work, but at the end of the day, that’s the only way you’re going to see results in one of the most competitive industries around. I couldn’t agree more with this one. What do you think?
